Meath County Enterprise Board hosted a special Enterprise Day for students participating in the Student Enterprise Awards competition on Monday, 24th September in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim.

Two teams from Co. Meath emerged with national titles at the 2007 final of the Student Enterprise Awards (SEA) which was held on Sunday, 13th May in the Tullamore Court Hotel.

Successful Conference Held For Local Female Entrepreneurs

On Sunday 13th May 2007 in the Marriott Johnstown House Hotel Enfield, Kildare & Meath CountyEnterprise Boards joined forces to organise and support a Women in Business Conference & Exhibition aimed at providing a showcase for local women owned businesses to exhibit their products and services to the conference participants and general public.  The businesses ranged from fashion to business consultancy to food processing as well as alternative medicine.  Also included were recruitment companies, property companies, legal practitioners and wedding cakes.  Over 40 exhibitors took part in the exhibition.

Enterprise Space Now Available in Kells

Meath County Enterprise Board is currently involved in the completion of a 2,280sq.m Enterprise and Technology Centre in Kells which will be ready for occupancy in May 2007. The centre consists of seven units of 900 sq.ft. for manufacturing/service, a large manufacturing unit of 3,400 sq. ft. and 8,800 sq. ft. of high specification technology space which can be subdivided to suit operations such as a Regional Financial / Marketing Service Centre, E-business or Hot Desks for a remote corporate operation. Conference facilities, offices, meeting rooms together with administrative and secretarial will also be provided. The centre will be available for 1-year renewable lease to companies who employ from 2 to 100 employees. All enquiries will be dealt with confidentially and expeditiously.
